Terracotta Mobile Amplifier Project(TMAP)

We at present work with 150 + rural artisans from 15 out of 72 regions of Geographical Indication in India. Overall we are engaging with artisans from 39 craft & art clusters. Post Covid 19 our effort has been to maximise income for the rural & tribal artisans using design, our TMAP ( Terracotta Mobile Amplifier Project ) project is one such attempt.

Post COVID19, most of the rural potters have run out of cash as the peak season for buying clay pots & bottles is almost over in lockdown. Channapatna wood crafters have suffered due to cancellation of crores of rupees of export orders. The village women near Jigni have lost their regular mill jobs due to closures.  The Terracotta amplifier creates livelihood for 3 craft clusters – potters in Karnataka, Channapatna wood crafters who make the bangle on which it stands and the Chittara artists who decorate the same. The amplification is significant for an acoustic instrument. Comes in 4 colors – RED, TERRACOTTA, BLUE and BLACK. Please mention your preferred color on the order sheet comments.

We are shipping only in the Bangalore region for now. Rest of India – the option is to order the CMAP – Channapatna Mobile amplifier project.
