These are small sized idol set of Dashavatara – 6″ tall
The Dashavatara is the ten primary avatars of Vishnu, a principal Hindu god. Vishnu is said to descend in the form of an avatar to restore cosmic order. The word Dashavatara derives from daśa, meaning ‘ten’, and avatar (avatāra), roughly equivalent to ‘incarnation’.
Most draw from the following set of figures, in this order: Matsya; Kurma; Varaha; Narasimha; Vamana; Parashurama; Rama; Krishna or Balarama; Buddha or Krishna; and Kalki.
These clay dolls are made by rural artisans from Tamil Nadu. The doll set can add to your home decor and also be a part of the Dasara Gombe Habba/ Navaratri Golu / Bommala Koluvu Display.
